Fort Mill, SC, one of Charlotte’s hottest “suburbs” lies just minutes south of town via I-77.   A wonderful blend of the old and new with a preserved main street to the east of I-77 and many new residential communities, shopping and recreation (including golf, tennis, walking trails, Lake Wylie boating) to the west.

Often a sought after destination for homebuyers for many reasons – lots of the conveniences of Charlotte with an attractive cost of living.  Property taxes, auto insurance and gasoline costs add to the value of paying less to live just over the state line.  Fort Mill has in recent history done a superb job with planning infrastructure for growth this century.  Excellent roads and new schools paved the way for an excellent reputation.

The Fort Mill Schools are among the best in the state and perform well above national standards. We also are home to a number of thriving businesses and corporate offices. Our close proximity to the Charlotte metropolitan area provides numerous educational, recreational and employment opportunities.

Main Street, Fort Mill, SC

There is something for everyone here.   Numerous neighborhoods appeal to families, singles and couples.   Condo living abounds here too.  The Four Seasons at Gold Hill serves the 55 and over set with a wonderful sought after community.  Baxter Village, a master planned community, serves as a cultural center with a traditional community feel with everything from the library, the YMCA,  ice cream and coffee shops plus patio dining.

Don’t miss last century’s charm, Main Street with buildings from yesteryear, and a history well documented with just a short walk.   A former textile town now focused as a residential mecca, Fort Mill has golf courses, three public parks and the Annie Springs Close Greenway.

Good schools, affordable single-family homes (buyers can scoop up a home in the $150,000 to $300,000 range for 1,700 to 3,200 square feet), new hospitals, and so close to Charlotte contributes to the appeal.   Growth continues thus many new construction communities add to the existing ones providing numerous neighborhood choices.
